ORGANIZATION: FRIENDS OF THE BOCA RATON PUBLIC LIBRARY

  • 8 people are interested

The Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library, Inc. is looking for a new volunteer manager for the Speaker Series. The series is held on the 4th Sunday afternoon from September through April, except for December.

Over the years, the Series has featured experts and authors in Florida history, travel, art, film, American history, the history of other cultures and natural history. Our audience wants to hear old favorites on familiar topics, and new speakers with new ideas.

If you would enjoy bringing exciting speakers to an appreciative audience in a beautiful venue, this may be the opportunity for you to give back to our community by enriching the lives of your fellow Florida residents.

In 2020-2021, we conducted our Speaker Series via Zoom. Starting in 2022, we are hoping to begin in-person speaker events at library.
