The Organization:

We are PeaceGeeks. We empower grassroots organizations by building technology partnerships to transform their efforts to promote peace and human rights in developing and conflict-affected areas. We build the capacity of grassroots, non-profit organizations to leverage technological innovations to enhance their operational efficiency, improve data collection and dissemination capabilities, amplify the visibility of critical issues and connect and engage with their stakeholders. PeaceGeeks works remotely by providing tools and training to local organizations on the ground to support them in affecting change in their own communities.

Position Overview:

The Salesforce Administrator will be working with the Technology department to oversee the PeaceGeeks Salesforce platform, manage multiple modules in Salesforce, and design workflows alongside other departments. The position is best suited for an individual that is knowledgeable in IT, Salesforce, and has an interest in global issues and current events. The Salesforce Administrator will report to the Technical Team Lead, the Executive Director, and work closely with the Community Lead and Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer PeaceGeeks Salesforce CRM platform to achieve and maintain data accuracy and user-friendliness
  • Performing administrative work as needed
  • Designing efficient workflows in partnership with PeaceGeeks Marketing, Community and Project Teams
  • Installing and configuring appropriate applications from Salesforce App Exchange
  • Overseeing the quality of Salesforce data
  • Importing data in an organized manner

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Salesforce administration and configuration
  • Experience with Salesforce modules and technicalities
  • Experience in IT and data management considered a strong asset
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator credential considered an asset
  • Proficient communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Time Commitment:

3-5 hours per week

Work Location

Volunteer may work from home or online. The PeaceGeeks office at the HiVE is available for use at #210-128 W Hastings St, Vancouver, V5L 4J8
