Berkshire Children and Families’ (BCF) Family Resource Center seeks a Highland Street AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring (AOM). The AOM will take a major role in recruiting new mentors for the Pittsfield Community Connection (PCC) program, which matches youth at risk with community members. The AOM will also work closely with the Volunteer & Mentor Coordinator on volunteer efforts across the agency. The AOM will support and coordinate a countywide Mentoring Network, which will include information sharing, trainings, and community-wide recruitment events.
This full time position (August 2017 - June 2018) will receive (in accordance with/satisfaction of AmeriCorps agreement):
- A $5,935educational award upon completion of service
- $1,250 pre-taxed stipend per month
- Graduate certificate in Nonprofit Leadership
- Additional transportation reimbursement for qualifying members
- 250+ hours of professional training and networking opportunities in the mentoring field and the non-profit sector
