Mission Statement
The mission of the Avery Road Alumni Association is to support and promote the residents and graduates in their pursuits of excellence in recovery, life skills and public service and to foster a spirit of loyalty, involvement and life-long commitment to the Avery Road by its alumni.
Description
The Avery Road Alumni Association is a group of people in recovery that have formed a non-profit to help those new in recovery. We make sure that the clients are encouraged and the alumni is supported. We host a clothes closet ensuring new clients have clothing and other essentials that they need. We regularly give dances and coffee houses to assist alumni with social integration, by supplying a safe environment to have fun. We are developing a workforce development program to give alumni the job skills and life skills they need to re-enter the workforce. We are raising funds to establish a hotline that people call when in trouble.
