The Family Store Assistant 2 is responsible for sorting, cleaning, pricing, storage and handling household, antique and collectable items. Will also assist with clothing and related items in collaboration with assigned staff.
Researches and prices antiques and collectables. Assists with overall arrangement, cleanliness, and appearance of store.
Opens and closes Seton Family Store and register; counts and records all money from sales and donations; and prepares bank deposit. Must have knowledge of basic math processes; computer skills (Microsoft office, Outlook, Internet Explorer); ability to follow cash management procedures for sales, debit, credit, and gift card vouchers; ability to make mature judgments and decisions; and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. High School diploma or GED required.

Description
Seton Center, Inc. is a social service organization in northern Frederick County MD. We provide financial assistance for mortgage, rent, utility, clothing and medical expenses. We also offer the Seton Family Store (thrift shop), and case management, programs and services to guide and support client growth in the areas of life skills such as literacy, financial and health management.
We serve those living at the federal poverty AND/OR the ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) rate; those working for wages that do not support even the basic living expenses. We believe that each person is unique and should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, creed or financial status.
