We are working on healthy foods project and are applying retail store design principles to help shape participant behavior toward choosing the healthiest foods available shopping at our food shelves. As part of this project, we are doing a slight redesign of one of food shelf locations that is part of this pilot project. We’re looking for some volunteer support to help with a one-day renovation project. We’re looking for a group of 6-8 people who could help move out the food and clear the space in the morning and then a group 6-8 volunteers to paint and put the food shelf back together in the afternoon

Need: 6-8 volunteers (all day or split into groups)

Location: 1459 Rice Street, St. Paul

Shifts are 9:00-12:30 and 12:30-4:00.

Keystone Community Services - is a multi-service organization providing human services in the areas of youth, senior, and basic needs programming. Keystone Community Services supports people in need with a variety of services to accomplish the following:

  • Youth learn and gain skills that help them succeed in school, at home and in their community by participating in afterschool programming, academic tutoring, youth employment and culturally specific programs designed for immigrant youth.
  • Families and individuals become more self-sufficient, stable and connected to their community through support from food shelves, crisis assistance, case management and family programs.
  • Seniors remain independent and contribute to their communities by accessing active senior, volunteer, in-home support and case management programs.
  • Community members connect to their neighborhoods and contribute to the vitality of St. Paul by volunteering, participating in community events, and supporting their neighbors in need.
