We are pleased to offer this bike program to people with disabilities and look forward to having you play an important part in helping our special riders learn to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently.
Volunteers will be spotters for children / young adults learning to ride a bicycle. No experience necessary on teaching bike riding sklls. Just show up, follow the rider and encourage them to peddle. There are 5 sessions per day and volunteers are asked to work 1 - 75 minute session for each of the 5 days of the camp.
Session #1: 8:30 am - 9:45 am
Session #2: 10:05 am - 11:20 am
Session #3: 11:40 am - 12:55 pm
Session #4: 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm
Session #5: 3:35 pm - 4:50 pm
***NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES NECESSARY***
AGE REQUIREMENT: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old

iCan Bike Okc is a day camp brought to Oklahoma City metro area by the non-profit iCan Shine Inc. iCan Shine provides quality learning opportunities in recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. By creating an environment where each person is empowered to maximize their individual abilities, everyone can shine!
