Calling all science and education enthusiasts!
This position will be a fun opportunity to work with young students to keep them engaged over the summer while school is out of session. Mercy Housing will be implementing KidzScience, a program using inquiry based science sessions that give youth a chance to explore topics such as the environment, physical and life science, and even forensic science. Our volunteers make all the difference for our out of school programs, so come ready to have fun and help kids learn!
Mercy Housing California at White Rock Village is an affordable housing community serving 168 families in El Dorado Hills, California. Opportunities to volunteer are available W/F from 1:30- 3:30 for KidzScience.

Mercy Housing was founded in 1981 in response to the lack of stable, affordable housing for vulnerable populations. In working to fulfill our mission, Mercy Housing California has developed more than 154 affordable housing communities in 36 counties throughout California, providing 17,000+ homes and serving over 24,000 people in need.
Mercy's commitment to program-enriched housing distinguishes us from many other large scale affordable housing developers. Housing is foundational - everyone needs a home. But many people who have endured poverty and other challenges need an additional hand-up to create the lives they want for themselves and their families. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work with residents right in their homes and neighborhoods on issues like health and wellness, housing stability, financial security as well as provide a full range of enriching out-of-school time options for youth.
