Powered by voulunteers, NW SolarFest is the largest and longest running grass roots organized sustainability event in the Puget Sound Region. The fair is held on the campus of Shoreline Community College on July 22 from 10-5.
We ask for a minimum 2 hour committment helping out in the various parts of the fair such as the KIDZone, the Transportation Zone which feature electric vehicles (bikes and cars), Conversation Cafes, Information Station and as needed.
Lots of fun things to see and do, booths, presentations, tiny homes, food and entertainment. Make a day of it.
If you have a special skill as a speaker on sustainability topics or as an entertainer there may be additional opportunities as well.
There are also opportunities outside of fair day:
*distribute posters and postcards during the dates of July 8 through July 16
*put up street signs July 9-14
*help setting up the fair July 21 from 10 - 4
*cleanup, inventory, packing July 23 form 10-done (usually 1pm)
