Work concession stands selling food and beverages to Comerica Park patrons. The opportunity will allow you to learn American Sign Language and work with deaf and hard of hearing persons in the workplace.
Training is required prior to volunteering. Interested parties, please contact us at info@dadfoundation.org or 313-451-3425 to get the next training dates/times.
The funds raised are for our YEP-Youth Employment Program to help our young deaf youth from the ages of 15-35 learn employability skills, resume writing, advocacy and job training to become employed.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote opportunities for empowerment in the Deaf community through advocacy, employment, housing, spirituality, and support services. The DAD Foundation espouses collaboration through which the Deaf and the hearing population become homogeneous in their efforts to navigate through the life cycle.
Description
The DAD Foundation's vision is to disavow barriers, while nurtiring the Deaf community to empower them in living a prevailing life. We do this by fund raising and creating job opportunites for the Deaf community and offering interpreting classes and services to bridge the gap between the Deaf and hearing.
