Web Developer with API Programming Ability

We are a nonprofit orphan care organization that works primarily in Cameroon, Africa although our headquarters are based in Austin, TX. We work by matching needy children in our program with sponsors who sign up online to donate $35/mo to support them. We have been using PayPal for this task and recently upgraded to PayPal Pro with Recurring Billing, however, we need a developer with API programming ability to help us enable this on our website without having a 3rd party e-commerce membership.

We need someone who has API programming skills and has successfully done this in the past to help us.
