At A Wider Circle, we know that one cannot rise out of poverty without a job. That is why the major focus of our educational programming is workforce development. Every season, we have an intensive program that includes resume-writing, interview skills, career path identification, and job advancement, among other topics. Job coaches are provided to every participant. A job coach is an essential part of each graduating job seeker's path to employment.
As a job coach, you will assist a job seeker as they outline professional goals and workplace success strategies, guide them through the application completion and submission process, support development of workplace based skills, including conflict resolution, etiquette, and communication, and coordinate regular check-ins with your job seeker, as well as serve as a source of enthusiasm, support, patience, and encouragement!
We are seeking people who have five-plus years of professional experience and a desire to impact their community by building relationships with one person at a time.

Description
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that provides holistic support to families in need. We furnish the homes of children and adults who are transitioning out of domestic violence or homeless shelters, or who are simply living without what most of us take for granted - beds, dressers, sheets, towels, and other basic need items. We offer educational programs on topics ranging from job skills and money management to stress management and other life skills. We also provide wrap-around support to those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, including professional attire, education, and one-on-one support. We work with the most vulnerable among us, and we do whatever we can do to help them move toward stability and independence.
