We at NJ Parents Caucus track, communicate and help juveniles that are incarcerated in the NJ prison system. Many of these kids had public defenders and took a plea deal to avoid a longer sentence at the advice of their PD.
We need attorneys that can wade through the juvenile justice system and all the paperwork that it entails. Along with speaking to their families, the incarcerated individual and possible visits to the facilities if needed.
Our end goal is to get their cases investigated and also have a voice when their parole hearings come up. We have about 20 cases that need immediate attention. You would have support of the volunteers at NJPC for fax, email, document or any type of administrative support that is needed.
