PRS’ Administration Office in McLean is seeking an organized, detail-oriented administrative assistant to complete general administrative tasks for our Human Resource Department.
Commitment:
1-2 days per week, 2-3 hours per day between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Days/times based on volunteer's availability. MINIMUM 3 month commitment.
Location: 1761 Old Meadow Road, McLean, VA 22102
Duties:
- General office activities including copying, preparing files, assembling packets, personal file maintenance and compliance
- Filing
- Performing data entry
- Preparing files for storage according to PRS' record retention policies
- Auditing Employee Files
- Performing basic research on various topics via internet
Qualifications:
- Should be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint a plus!)
- Prior experience working in an office environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Volunteer should have good judgment
- Understands the confidentiality of Human Resources
- Previous experience in nonprofits or working with sensitive populations a plus
