PRS’ Administration Office in McLean is seeking an organized, detail-oriented administrative assistant to complete general administrative tasks for our Human Resource Department.

Commitment:

1-2 days per week, 2-3 hours per day between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Days/times based on volunteer's availability. MINIMUM 3 month commitment.

Location: 1761 Old Meadow Road, McLean, VA 22102

Duties:

  • General office activities including copying, preparing files, assembling packets, personal file maintenance and compliance
  • Filing
  • Performing data entry
  • Preparing files for storage according to PRS' record retention policies
  • Auditing Employee Files
  • Performing basic research on various topics via internet

Qualifications:

  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint a plus!)
  • Prior experience working in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Volunteer should have good judgment
  • Understands the confidentiality of Human Resources
  • Previous experience in nonprofits or working with sensitive populations a plus

Vernon, VA, and residential sites throughout Northern Virginia, HopeLink offers a comprehensive array of programs including the Recovery Academy, Community Housing, Employment Services and Community Support Services, and CrisisLink, a 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis intervention hotline and textline.
