On November 11, a team of Hikers from Jacksonville will join forces to trek 28.3 miles of the Foothills Trail in one day to end children’s cancer. It’s all part of an unforgettable, life changing, lifesaving weekend called Ultimate Hike.

Do you have what it takes to lead them?

CureSearch for Children’s Cancer is seeking a local coach to lead bi-weekly training Hikes for local Hikers, provide inspiration, and be leader on the trail on Hike Day. Endurance athletes, avid hikers, gear store employees, and other qualified people are encouraged to contact brecka.putnam@curesearch.org for more information.

Coaches volunteer their time, to attend Ultimate Hike weekend for free, and are rewarded with the chance to help their team cross the finish line, and to make a difference in the lives of families facing children’s cancer.

Visit www.ultimatehike.org/southeast to learn about Ultimate Hike.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to end childhood cancer by driving targeted and innovative research with measurable results in an accelerated time frame.

Description

CureSearch for Children’s Cancer is a national non-profit foundation that accelerates the search for cures for children’s cancer by driving innovation, transcending research barriers and solving the field’s most challenging problems. We fight every day to make treatments and cures possible for the 47 children diagnosed with cancer each day. We do this in three ways:

  • We accelerate the search for cures by posing essential challenges to scientists and inviting teams to overcome them with innovative research approaches.
  • We transcend the barriers of a broken research system by establishing new pathways to end children’s cancer.
  • We provide resources and education, so no child faces a cancer diagnosis without a fully equipped support team.
