If you have a couple of hours a week to spare and can type, this is the volunteer position for you.
We are looking for someone to help in Archives a couple of hours each week. We would like the days to be consistent every week, two hours or more a day. We are looking for someone to transcribe oral and written history, transcribing documents that are written in cursive in notebooks on to the computer. The volunteer needs to have basic computer skills and needs to know how to use the computer program Word . (Basically typing) Must also be able to maintain confidentiality.

Description
The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, is a Roman Catholic Congregation of religious women of the Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi. We dedicate ourselves to living joyfully through the Franciscan values of conversion, contemplation, poverty, and minority.
We are committed to a life of prayer, simple living, and service to those in need. We are dedicated to promoting human rights, building community wherever we live, and healing the sources of Mother Earth's wounds.
Located in the heartland of Minnesota, USA, we number 162 sisters and are joined by over 250 associates. While the majority of our Sisters live and minister in Minnesota, some of us minister in Arizona, California, Illinois, Mississippi, New Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, Ecuador and Mexico. Our associates are from several U.S. states as well as from Ecuador, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.
