Clearfield - Scheduling Assistants needed to schedule patient rides on DAV Vans:
- Assist the veteran with scheduling requests for transportation, including phone requests or walk ins
- Assist with general filing and preparing statistical data as requested by the HSC
- Assist with maintaining the transportation logs
Candidates must have good communication skills. Must be able to read and write legibly. Must practice good telephone manners. Must know and practice ALL rules of confidentiality. This includes knowledge or the Privacy Act as it pertains to veterans and volunteers alike. Must know or be able to learn basic clerical skills. Job may involve prolonged sitting, walking, standing, stooping and lifting light to medium weight objects.

The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County (VCCC) provides opportunities for people to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. Sponsored by the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., VCCC is dedicated to making a difference in our community through volunteer service. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, environmental organizations, nursing/personal care homes, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. VCCC offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. VCCC matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
