We show adoptable cats at various pet stores located throughout San Jose and Morgan Hill. Volunteers help our cats thrive in what is typically a stressful environment because happy and healthy cats are more likely to be adopted into loving homes.
A site lead will oversee daily operations at one of our pet store adoption centers. This includes making sure volunteer shifts are being covered, adoption center is clean, supplies are stocked, and protocols are being followed. Site leads are crucial to the success of Town Cats because they serve as the main point of contact between store volunteers and staff members. In addition, site leads are responsible for training and scheduling volunteers (but not recruiting) for clean/care shifts and weekend adoption fairs.
This role requires supervisory experience, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to be on-call.
Time commitment: Average 10 hours a week

About Town Cats
Location:
PO Box 1828, Morgan Hill, CA 95038, US
Mission Statement
Town Cats is a non-profit volunteer-based no-kill cat and kitten adoption center/shelter and feral cat advocacy organization dedicated to enriching the lives of homeless cats and kittens in the south Santa Clara county through an aggressive rescue and adoption program, TNR (trap, neuter, return), and public education.
Description
Town Cats works to alleviate the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats in Santa Clara County. We sponsor innovative programs to help cats in traditional shelters in our county, as well as community cats who live outdoors. We educate the public about the cat overpopulation problem, and provide people with the tools to become part of the solution. Town Cats supports individuals who want to help through aggressive spay/neuter and cat care programs, and by providing vet care and cat food to low income cat guardians, fosters, or owners. We also find permanent, safe, and loving homes for the homeless house cats and kittens in our care.
