via ZOOM!!! Join us for mock interviews for students from our Security training program for graduates at Goodwill of Greater Washington. Goodwill of Greater Washington has a terrific security program. Six week long it provides our participants with:

• Professional certifications in handcuffing, baton, pepper spray, First Aid/CPR/AED
• Improved skills in communications, conflict resolution, problem solving and positive attitudes
• Foundation knowledge of lodging operations and understanding of long-term career pathways
• Quality customer service training, as well as customized resume and extensive interview preparation and practice
• Career coaching and supportive services including individualized job placement assistance and follow-up for at least 90 days following employment

For our Mock Interviews, we pull in wonderful volunteers so our participants can practice their 'tell me about yourself’, as well as strengths and weaknesses and other common interview questions. It’s a chance for them to actually get feedback on how they’ve done - what went well and would they could do better. For our interviewers, it’s a great opportunity to work with participants and give feedback - tell the participants how they did - what answers were good, what answers could be better - and how!

We provide our interviewers with a list of questions that we’ve gathered from hospitality employers, run through how to give feedback to our crew. Interviews in general are short - about 10 minutes long, with 10 minutes or so of feedback.

It will be 3 sessionsof 20 minutes each - all via ZOOM!
