At Northwest Harvest's Cherry Street Food Bank, one volunteer opportunity is our Sandwich Brigade, where volunteers make sandwiches to go into sack lunches for our clients.
Right now, regular openings on the Sandwich Brigade are full, but we are looking for volunteers for our Sandwich Brigade substitute list for Mondays and Wednesdays, but especially for Fridays.
This is an on-call opportunity. When openings come up due to illness or vacation, we reach out to our substitute list to help fill the gaps. Sandwich Brigade shifts are 7:30am-9:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. (Please note that this role involves working around peanut butter.)
If the Sandwich Brigade substitute list sounds like a good fit for you, the first step is to fill out an application at www.northwestharvest.org.
