NVFS logo & tagline

The SERVE shelter is in need of volunteers that will assist with planning and implementing weeklong summer camp programs. Being in a shelter is no fun and without the distraction of school the children can become sullen and that is not what summer is about.

Volunteers do not need to be experts, but should have the ability to show/teach what they know to the children and get them excited. STEM, Art, Music, Physical Education, etc. are all examples of the kind of camps we are hoping to have.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer independently or 16 with a parent. Volunteer will be responsible to planning and executing the camp and will need to be available for minimum 4 consecutive days. Must be comfortable working with children of all ages with diverse backgrounds.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to go into Social Work, Education, or the Nonprofit Sector.
