Council on Aging in Union County has an immediate need for "handy" volunteers to build wheelchair ramps and minor home safety repairs for seniors to keep them safe at home.
Home safety repairs range from installing handrails & grab bars, building wheelchair ramps, checking smoke detectors, changing light bulbs, installing handheld shower heads, etc.
Volunteer dates/times are flexible! In other words, our volunteers are able to either pick a day that fits into their schedule and we can arrange projects on the selected day.
If you are interested in supporting our mission to help older adults remain safely in their homes, we would be delighted to work with you! We have job requests of all sizes throughout Union County. Grab a group of friends or work individually. We are happy to work with church groups & ministries, civic groups, employers, and individuals who are looking to give back to our older neighbors.
