Responisbilities of our volunteers will include, but not limited to, providing instruction and or oversight of event programming, managing lines/crowds, and fulfilling general event operations. We ask all interested parties to register by completing this form,https://forms.gle/Wn4z3L8ta2hPC4T97 If you have any questions, please contact Anthony Sama at Anthony.Sama@parks.nyc.gov with the title "Adventures NYC Volunteer" in the subject line. Please note that at this time we are only accepting volunteers over the age of 18, but welcome groups of any size! Volunteers for our events all receive lunch for the day as well as a token of our gratitude!
Volunteer's need not have volunteered with us before, nor need any event experience, but there are certain requirements we ask of those who will join us:
1. Must be over the age of 18
2. Must be available for seven (7) hours, 9:30am-4:30pm on June 15, 2019

Parks & Recreation is the steward of about 29,000 acres of land -- 14 percent of New York City -- including more than 5,000 individual properties ranging from Coney Island Beach and Central Park to community gardens and Greenstreets. We operate more than 800 athletic fields and nearly 1,000 playgrounds, 550 tennis courts, 66 public pools, 48 recreational facilities, 17 nature centers, 13 golf courses, and 14 miles of beaches. We care for 1,200 monuments and 23 historic house museums. We look after 600,000 street trees, and two million more in parks. We are New York City's principal providers of recreational and athletic facilities and programs. We are home to free concerts, world-class sports events, and cultural festivals.
