We will be planting flowers and doing general beautification on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9 am at the Bakhita Center at 648 South Ohio Ave., Columbus (please gather at the back of the building). We will be there until at least 11 am, probably later, depending on how fast the planting goes.
Students who volunteer are eligible for volunteer credit (please bring your form or we will have a generic one).

If you have them, please bring your own gardening tools and gloves. If not, we will supply them.

Description
The Community of Holy Rosary & St. John the Evangelist is a center city Roman Catholic Church with a focus on social outreach. Some of the ministries of the church include:
- Sunday 9:30 a.m. Mass with Gospel Choir
- St. John Community Center (community center that houses a variety of nonprofits and a health clinic)
- St. John Food Pantry
- St. John Learning Center (adult education)
- community gardens
- youth ministry
- senior ministry
- Martin Luther King Day Celebration
- Black Heritage Month Celebration
