The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Silverado Hospice provides end-of-life care for patients. Our volunteers participate by providing companionship for patients or sitting with a patient while the caregiver gets some time away. Bring your compassion and 2 to 4 hours a month and we will give you the joy of helping others in their time of need. We provide orientation, guide you every step of the way and keep you close to home with your visits. Call Silverado Hospice today, (281)-397-8800, and ask to speak to Sabra. Include your phone number in your reply so we can contact you.
