Enjoy a summer weekend at the Audubon Center of the North Woods - in exchange for some volunteer help on a variety of service projects on the Center’s grounds and buildings.

Ages 12 years and up only please (children must be accompanied by an adult/parent

Includes two nights lodging in our Crosby Lodge and all meals.
Service projects you’ll be helping on may include weeding, invasive species removal, painting, beautification of Center grounds, fixing fences, general organizing, etc. Upon arrival, you’ll be able to choose from the list of various 'chores’ and we’ll assign work crews and shifts.

There will be plenty of free time built into this Volunteer Weekend for you to enjoy hiking on our 7 miles of trails, get out on beautiful Grindstone Lake in a canoe, go swimming or fishing, or just sit back and soak up the nature here at the Center. On both evenings, weather permitting, there will be a group campfire.

Description

The Audubon Center is a residential environmental education center. We are open 12 months a year and offer educational and outdoor adventure programs for k-12, adults, teachers, seniors, and post-graduates. We also have a wildlife component, with birds of prey as educational tools.
