Mission Statement

Community Housing Resource Partners (CHR Partners) is a national non-profit centered around providing individuals and families with quality affordable housing and providing them with support services, mentorship and safety.

Description

Today in the state of Texas, there are over 36,000 individuals who are homeless on any given night. However, what you may not know is the number of Texans living in poverty totals just over 4.6 million. That's 18.5 percent of the population, 3 percent higher than the nation as a whole, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Furthermore, the two biggest predictions of poverty are poor education and chronic health problems. Only about 80 percent of Texans have a high school diploma, the second lowest in the country, and Texas has the highest number of uninsured citizens. With food and housing insecurity, education and insurance have taken a backseat.

To combat this, CHR Partners offers one-to-one referral based case management to assist our residents with gaining access to necessary services, eliminating the need to choose between shelter, food and education. We pair this with a world-class youth mentorship and literacy program to provide a safety net for our children growing up in poverty. Our staff and programs are fiercely committed to being the change agent for affordable housing and the programs that provide the needed security for our communities.
