Help with Driving An Older Adult to the Doctor - Once a Month!

Yup - you read this right. Once a month and only once a month! Our clients live in the southeast part of Milwaukee County - Milwaukee's South Side, Bayview, Wilson Park, Cudahy, South Milwaukee, St. Francis, Oak Creek and no longer drive. They need help getting to medical appointments. You'd take one older adult to one medical appointment once a month. We'd reach out to you when we have a ride that needs to be filled - and you always have the option of saying yes or no. All we ask is that you say "Yes!" once each calendar month. Imagine if you were older and no longer drove - your adult kids all work and they help you quite often. But they can't do everything. That's where Interfaith Neighborhood Outreach Program - and you - come in. We fill in for when family can't. And, sometimes our clients have no family nearby or no family at all. Here's what one of our 88-year-old clients recently told us: "When you're 88, you know you feel lonely, with your parents and family and everyone gone. Things are not always easy. I appreciate every ride, and I am so grateful and thankful. I go to bed at night and thank God for all the volunteers."

Once a month. That's all we're asking for!
