Have you ever wanted to put your social media skills to good use for a very worthy cause? Would you enjoy engaging, educating and recruiting supporters of our nonprofit animal rescue? Come and put your talents to work with our amazing FUPI Volunteer Team located in Las Vegas, NV.
FUPI is currently searching for awesome Social Media Volunteers to join our team! We need you to help expand and promote our organization by creating and maintaining our Official FUPI Twitter Page and/or our Official FUPI LinkedIn Page and/or maintain our Official FUPI Instagram Page. You will directly help animals in need by telling their stories, encourage the community to help and support the rescue and work alongside other creative professionals to save more animals and make a difference in their lives.
Preferred Skills
▪Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
▪Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently without supervision
▪Outgoing, enthusiastic and creative
Requirements
▪Must be at least 18 years old
▪Have your own computer or laptop and internet access
▪Computer literacy needed
▪Proficient in social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn
▪Must maintain discretion and tactfulness
▪Must have emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and sensitivity to appropriately deal with others or difficult issues without compromising FUPI's mission, its volunteers or its supporters
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
▪Maintain FUPI's Official Instagram Page
▪Create & Maintain FUPI's Official Twitter Page
▪Create & Maintain FUPI's Official LinkedIn Page
▪Coordinate posts with FUPI's Social Media Volunteers
▪Keep social media page updated with daily posts
▪Encourage others to comment on our posts and share them with others
▪Increase followers on our social media pages; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
▪Ensure appropriate messaging is executed online using the FUPI Mission Statement as your guide
▪Maintain knowledge of our adoptable animals
▪Create content for social media using our sources or your original sources
▪Maintain a welcoming attitude towards people of all backgrounds and beliefs
▪Respect and maintain confidentiality of FUPI's volunteers, partners, and donors

Mission Statement
Foreclosed Upon Pets, Inc. (FUPI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue of domesticated animals that have been abused and/or abandoned by their owners as a result of economic hardship, including home foreclosure, loss of employment, insufficient income, or death and illness. FUPI will work to further the cause of animal control through the education of the general public about the humane benefits of spay and neuter programs. FUPI will take on a leadership role in developing strategies and creating coalitions with other animal rescue organizations in order to better serve the residential and commercial sectors of the community in the fight against animal cruelty
Description
Foreclosed Upon Pets, Inc. (FUPI) is a dog and cat rescue located in Las Vegas. We were founded in 2008 during the height of the housing crisis, when people were walking away from their homes and their animals. We still get animals from that arena, but also take in owner surrenders, and strays from the street. All animals are checked by our vets, giving all necessary shots, spayed or neutered if needed, and microchipped.
