Waste Not Want Not Now is partnering with Food Forward to assist with their ongoing Market Glean efforts. We are looking for committed volunteers to assist us & Food Forward with gleaning unsold produce at Melrose Place Farmer's Market.

We're looking for hardworking individuals who could commit to working consistently with WNWN Now and Food Forward to help battle food waste and hunger in the Los Angeles area!

Volunteers would be working with Food Forward towards becoming a Glean Team Leader, in charge of

1) leading a team of volunteers at the Sunday Melrose Place market to meet vendors and resource unsold produce.

3) weighing & logging gleaned produce.

3) coordinating with Receiving Agencies, who take the produce to shelters & pantries across the city.

Requires a commitment to volunteer 1-2x per month.

Description

FoodCycle is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help further our mission in fighting hunger and ending food waste. We need volunteers on an ongoing basis to recover food from various restaurants, grocery stores, and food markets around Los Angeles. In addition to Food Recovery Drivers, we are looking for assistance building up our social media presence across all platforms.
