ORGANIZATION: YWCA Northeast Kansas

Program assistant for our Mighty Girls Summer Program. The program is for girls going into 5-8 grades.

June 5-9 the week focuseses on exploreing different ways to express ourselves and celebrate our differences. Projects like string art, Visiting the Mulvane Art Museum, and silohettes are a few projects.

June 12-16 is focused on being fit and having fun. Including life sports like yoga. Volunteers to help teach some sessions on fitness are needed too!

Volunteers will help with sessions, but will not have to lead. The group size is small!

Being able to walk for some distances is needed!

Times are from 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. (or half a session from 8:145 a.m. -12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.)

Established 132 years ago in 1887, YWCA Northeast Kansas is a unique and vital community resource in the greater Topeka community committed to eliminating racism and empowering women. Not only does YWCA Northeast Kansas provide crucial services to women, children, and families - we are widely recognized as a thought leader on the issues of racial justice and the advancement of women.

We provide transformative services in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking; early childhood education, youth services, healthy lifestyles, and leadership and inclusion initiatives.
