Sharon's Ride for Epilepsy is a family oriented fundraising and awareness event that offers a 12-mile scenic trail ride by bicycled or a short leisurely walk through the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center Trails.
Volunteers are needed to help make this event successful. Some of the areas include parking, snack area, registation, setup, and clean up.

Established in 1983, the Epilepsy Foundation Texas-Houston/Dallas-Fort Worth/West Texas provides a number of programs and services, including the following:
- Public and Professional Education & Awareness Programs
- Camp and Recreation Programs for people with epilepsy and their families, including Camp Spike 'n’ Wave(r), Kamp Kaleidoscope(r), Camp Neuron and Adult & Family Retreats
- Specialized Medical Care throughout the state including consultation, diagnostic testing and medication
- Education & Consultation Services
