East Boston Neighborhood Health Center

Help foster a love of books and reading at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center by reading to children in our Pediatrics Department Waiting Room. Even if you have just 1 hour a week to read a book to a child waiting in the department, you can have a tremendous impact on that child. Reading with children, and their families, will serve to create an environment that promotes literacy and opens the door for providers to discuss the importance of reading with families.

We are looking for someone who loves books, is creative, outgoing, patient, and enjoys interacting with both children and adults.

This opportunity is available Monday-Friday with some possibilities of evening and weekend hours.
