Speech and Language Development Center provides education for students 6 months through their 21st year. In addition we also offer Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapies. Our goal is to build on the abilities of our students.
We have many annual fundraising activities in which we need volunteeers. Although most of our fundraisers happen between the months of October thru May, we are constantly preparing for them.
We need volunteers to help us work on this preparation, execution of the fundraisers and then re-organizing afterwards. If you would be interested in helping us, please contact Sandy Smith - Volunteer Coordinator at 714-821-3620 ext. 236 or ssmith@sldc.net and discuss how we can partner.

Description
Speech and Language Development Center is one of the largest accredited, non-public Pre-K through Post-12 schools in California providing therapy and educational services to children, youth and adults who have multiple disabilities and challenges. More than 250 students from 63 school districts and regional centers in Southern California are enrolled at our Buena Park campus. Founded in 1955, the Center's comprehensive curriculum treats students with diagnoses including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorders (more than 60%) Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, hearing impairment (at least 30%), emotional and behavioral problems, visual deficits, language-learning disorders, seizure disorders and traumatic brain injuries.
