California Red Cross AmeriCorps
We are looking for highly energized and service-minded individuals to help us further the mission of the American Red Cross as CA Red Cross AmeriCorps members! This is a full-time national service role - perfect for graduating students, individuals interested in emergency management, or those looking for a dynamic careet change. AmeriCorps members work with the American Red Cross to provide vital emergency assistance to individuals affected by disaster and preparedness vulnerable communities before disasters strike.
Red Cross AmeriCorps members are creative, passionate, and dedicated individuals that serve in a full-time capacity for 10.5 months at American Red Cross chapters across California. We currently have almost 50 members serving at sites from San Diego to Eureka! If you are looking for a way to help others, get professional experience, and serve your community, then come join our AmeriCorps team!
Red Cross AmeriCorps focus on 3 key service areas:
Train underserved communities in Preparedness Education
Respond and serve clients affected by local disasters
Recruit and mentor American Red Cross adult and youth volunteers
Desired Skill Sets:
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Enjoys working in groups and public speaking
Interest in Emergency Management
Licensed to drive / clean driving record
Willingness to work weekends and evenings
- Bilingual desired (not required)
