Peoples’ Self-Help Housing (PSHH) has partnered with the Food Bank of San Luis Obispo County for a Hunger Awareness Day campaign in June.
We will be collecting donations and distributing informational flyers on Friday, June 2 at Food 4 Less in Paso Robles and Vons in Grover Beach from 7am to 7pm.
We are looking for energetic individuals and/or teams to sign up for 2-hour shifts at one of these locations. This is a fun volunteer-run event, so apply online by May 31 and come join us!
Volunteers will be trained on-site, receive a free t-shirt, and have an opportunity to learn more about both organizations!

Mission Statement
The mission of People's Self-Help Housing is to build affordable homes and provide services to strengthen communities and change lives, with a focus on low-income households, families, farmworkers, seniors, and veterans on California's Central Coast.
Description
Founded in 1970, PSHH is the longest-serving nonprofit affordable housing organization on the Central Coast. With a mission of building homes and providing services to strengthen communities and change lives, PSHH serves low-income households, families, farmworkers, seniors, and veterans. It also provides welcoming environments for those living with disabilities, youth transitioning out of foster care, and the formerly homeless. Along with building and managing beautiful and accessible neighborhoods, we offer a wide range of services to promote health, well-being, and career success. Homeownership opportunities through a self-help, "sweat-equity" program have created over 1,200 homes and with a presence in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Monterey counties, PSHH manages over 2,000 rental units, and employs over 200 members of staff.
At PSHH we build so much more than housing; we build resilient neighborhoods, places residents are proud to call home.
