Key VOLUNTEER Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate newly forming Blogging team of 4-6 writers to develop weekly content.
• Incorporate First-Generation College Student and Social Media Editorial Calendar themes into content.
• Develop a Blog schedule so posts are crafted in advance
• Coordinate with the VP of Social Media, VP Website Development and VP Communications to post weekly content on our WordPress website.
• Manage the blog community by moderating and responding to comments.
• Answer emails on behalf of the blog.
• Write content for the blog as needed.
• Assist with analyzing analytics data to gauge content performance.
• Manage guest-posting requests.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be passionate about writing. Basic SEO skills; Strong Writing and Editing Skills, Superior communication skills; Attention to detail; Organized and accountable. WordPress experience preferred. Ability to work in a team.

Volunteer Details

• Time Commitment: Minimum of 2-4 virtual hours per month, may include some evenings.
