The Prior Lake Players (PLP) are seeking an individual who loves the Theatre and can work with us to manage our finances! We are a strong 100% volunteer organization and have been providing a quality Theater experience to Prior Lake and the surrounding suburbs for over 45 years! Having completed a very successful season, we are actively seeking a new board member for our role of Treasurer. The Treasurer is also a member of the Board of Directors.
This board member will be accountable for managing and reporting on the financial status of the organization. A few days each month the Treasurer will pay bills, write checks, make bank deposits and provide reimbursements.
On a monthly basis, this role will report detailed monthly transactions to the Board of Directors as part of the regular board meeting. In addition, the role is accountable for tracking the profit and loss statement for each of the Prior Lake Players productions during a season. This role also has responsibilities for managing ticket sales for each of our productions.
Finally this individual will complete the required tax documentation for the organization and file statements as required by Federal and State Tax laws. The ability to use QuickBooks Online and excel is preferred, however if you have similar experience, we can train you!

Mission Statement
The Prior Lake Players is a non-profit performing arts educational group formed for the express purpose of producing and performing live theatrical entertainments, including both established and original scripts, and of providing training and experience to its members in the various artistic and technical aspects of live theatre. Additionally, the organization shall work closely with the Scott County area community and school system in promoting charitable, civic and educational enterprises and in generally promulgating a sense of community pride and unity.
Description
The Prior Lake Players is a 100% volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality theatre entertainment to Prior Lake and surrounding areas. The Prior Lake Players has been an active part of the Twin Cities community since 1972.
