Hearts for San Diego is a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit that assists our local charities by organizing FUNdraising events on their behalf. Our events increase awareness and support for their inspiring work, and provide extra breathing room so they can stay focused on their missions.
On Saturday, June 10th from 12-4pm, we're hosting "The Mutt Strut: K9 Fashion Show and Fundraiser". Join us for a family-friendly FUNdraiser as our furry fashionistas strut their stuff on the catwalk! Event highlights include a Beer & Wine Garden, Food Vendors, free museum activities, free cookies & lemonade, and all-natural, non-alcoholic doggie beer! Proceeds from the event will help support Shelter to Soldier, a local nonprofit that adopts rescue dogs from local shelters and trains them to become psychiatric service dogs for local veterans suffering from PTSD and other psychological injuries.
We have a variety of volunteer needs, including:
- set up
- assist with fashion show logistics
- Beer/Wine pourers
- stations (welcome table, raffle/auction, ticket station)
- clean up/pack up (event ends at 4pm but we need assistance packing up afterwards)

Description
Hearts for San Diego organizes FUNdraising events on behalf of our local charities. We are run 100% by volunteers who are passionate about giving back to our community and supporting a variety of causes. Each event spotlights a different charity/cause, and is designed in the most cost-effective manner to provide an affordable, fun, educational and engaging experience.
Our goal is to increase awareness of our spotlighted charities and their missions, and to generate greater levels of volunteerism and financial support to help them succeed with their inspiring work. By organizing all aspects of the fundraising events, we provide our charities with much needed "breathing room" while simultaneously expanding their community reach to potential volunteers and donors.
