Volunteers are needed to help with the Smoke Out Hunger BBQ Challenge at the Wyandotte County Fairgrounds on June 9-10, 2017. This two day competition starts Friday morning, June 9th with team check-in and general set-up, and a kick off party from 6-10pm that evening for the public. Saturday, June 10th is the actual BBQ competition and judging ceremony.
Volunteer opportunities available on June 8-9 include:
Friday, June 8, 2018
- Event Set-Up - Friday 10am-2pm
- Barn Party Set-Up - Friday 1pm-5pm
- Ticket Taker/Gate Admission 5:30-9:30
- Barn Party Food Area - 5:30-10pm
Saturday, June 9, 2018
- Event Set-Up 9am-noon
- Team BBQ submission table 11am-4pm
- Clean Up - 1:00-5:00pm

Cross-Lines is a nonprofit organization that is on the front lines of working with families and individuals in the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Cross-Lines offers participants emergency services such as food, clothing, rent and utility assistance.
