Maintain Garden at Appleton Farm

On Wednesday's during July and August, volunteers are needed to help maintain Appleton's U-Pick Garden. Volunteers will be accompanied by Nourishing the North Shore staff to learn care techniques (including weed identification) from a farmer. They will see the garden change through the season and be contributing to the fresh food provided to food pantries in the area.
Volunteers needed Wednesday's from 9 to 11. Choose an every Wednesday or every other Wednesday schedule.

Description
YWCA Greater Newburyport is a part of an international women's movement. Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 230 local associations in the United States.
Locally, we address these injustices within our community through safe, affordable and supportive child care and youth development, housing and wellness opportunities.
Nourishing the North Shore works with the community to create access channels to healthy food, builds and maintains community gardens, develops and leads educational programs and supports local farmers.
