ORGANIZATION: YOUNG WOMENS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEWBURYPORT

On Tuesdays from June 13 - through October, volunteers will staff a mobile farm stand providing free produce in conjunction with the Pettengill Food Pantry. Duties include running the farm stand, engaging with customers, sharing recipes (provided), and generally encouraging use of farm-fresh food. Staff needed for three shifts each Tuesday.

Description

YWCA Greater Newburyport is a part of an international women's movement. Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 230 local associations in the United States.

Locally, we address these injustices within our community through safe, affordable and supportive child care and youth development, housing and wellness opportunities.

Nourishing the North Shore works with the community to create access channels to healthy food, builds and maintains community gardens, develops and leads educational programs and supports local farmers.
