With more than 328,500 students in Minnesota relying on free or reduced-priced lunches through the National School Meal Program, only about 15 percent access a meal program during the summer months.
That’s where the KSTP Summer Harvest for Kids campaign comes in. MATTER, The Food Group, Youthlink, and Urban Ventures will be coming together to raise awareness of this problem in Minnesota, and funds to address the need for food in the summer months.
Please join us at the Mall of America to take donations from KSTP viewers and friends of the organization! This is an especially important time slot because many people will be watching the morning news and will be calling in to donate!
