Whiz Kids Tutoring

Whiz Kids

As a volunteer you will be part of a Christian tutoring community of 10-25 other student/tutor pairs who meet at the same time and day as you.

Tutoring sessions are held at either churches, schools or community centers. Tutors can choose any day of the week that's convenient for them (Monday-Thursday). Some sites meet right after school and other site are in the evenings! The commitment is from October to April, once a week for 1.5 hours.

During tutoring the focus is to improve basic literacy and math skills. Tutors also help students with homework.

In addition we schedule a fun half-hour Club Time where tutors and students come together for snacks, songs, games and a fun Bible message all led by a Club Leader.
