Spend a day improving local hiking trails. Learn how your efforts will help our drinking water.

Do you enjoy being outside in nature and don’t mind working hard? Then join us for this hands-on learning experience on the proper techniques of trail maintenance and invasive plant removal - all within the scenic Loch Raven Reservoir! A bonus educational presentation on the history of Loch Raven Reservoir and the water supply system will be provided by the Baltimore City Gov. Watershed Division.

Participants will work outdoors to perform invasive plant and trail maintenance activities and learn how specific techniques can improve our drinking water and the overall health of the Gunpowder watershed.

Who: No experience is necessary! Community service hours are welcome. Participants must be ages 12 and up. Great opportunity for students, REI employees, scouts, community residents and trail users.

At the T intersection, go straight onto Loch Raven Drive. You will go about 1 mile, pass the next intersection at Morgan Mill Rd., and stop at the Pines area just before the bridge. Park on the water side of road. Meet at Trail Maintenance sign in table. Then ask for a parking pass for your dash board at sign in table.
