The Love Pit Rescue is a 501c3 non profit working in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We are a pit bull type dog rescue group. We are foster based which means our dogs are pulled from kill shelters, neglectful or abusive situations or from the streets. The dogs are then placed in foster homes with their Bully Buddies until they are adopted. TLP usually has about 40 dogs in our care.
The Love Pit is currently seeking Senior & Apprentice Dog Trainers
Our training team does assessments as well as one on one training with fosters and adopted dogs as they adjust to their new environment.
We are flexible with the times and areas that you are available to help with as we have fosters and happily adopted families across all of Dallas and Fort Worth
Experience: Must have 6 months to 1 year experience training or be willing to commit to 6 months of training with one of our professional trainer volunteers.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pit bull type dogs in shelters and on the streets through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy. Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.
Description
The Love Pit is a foster based rescue that is based in the Dallas Fort Worth area. We rescue death row dogs from DFW shelters and place them in foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
