Looking for safety and security volunteers, preferably retired or off duty law enforcement members to team up with our members in ushering and monitoring our parking lot and courtyard areas during congregational services. Services take place 6:30pm-11pm and we will have 2 to 4 hour shifts.
This is an evening/night time position. We will have a few opportunities during the day time on June 25th and July 15th.
Extra security/safety will escort our members to/from their vehicles so they exit the property quiety and do not disturb our neighbors. Our community center is located in a residential area and n oise carries in the night. For our neighbours it is bed time and we want to be respectful of their sleep and privacy.
The safety/security team members will rotate nightly. The more volunteers we get, the less frequently each member would need to be on late.
Basic responsibilities include:
- Enforcing that members do not talk loudly or make noise while walking to and from vehicle
- Do not slam car doors or rev-up vehicle
- Direct members to arrive and exit quietly
- Monitoring the premises and parking lot.
- There will be a lot of walking around at night for this position. Must be comfortable to work alone and in a team.
