Our artists, all adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, need to produce a complete inventory of work so they can open an online store and begin selling their pieces. Help is needed in 2 hour increments, one to two times per week. Duties may include setting up the work space (opening paints, putting out canvases), assisting artists (if/when they ask for help), offering creative suggestions, and cleaning up. No experience required but it is helpful if you have worked with adults with disabilities or have experience with creative visual arts.
Because of the vulnerable popluation, every volunteer needs to pass a background check that takes up to two weeks to complete.
All art takes place Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Days and times are flexible.
This will be a very rewarding opportunity for everyone involved.
