DESCRIPTION: The Marketing and Research Associate Intern (MRAI) is an unpaid position and is responsible for community outreach, volunteer coordination, event planning, marketing, grants and foundation research, social media management, fundraising, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) management, and competitive research. The MRAI will work with the Executive Director and the Global Education Program Director on a variety of tasks that focus on organizational support. The MRAI will manage VL’s databases on school, donor, student, and parent contact information which support our marketing efforts. They will purge old contacts and research new ones to add to the list to increase outreach. Independent School Research entails the MRAI looking for potential schools VL can partner with through our Global Education Program. The MRAI will assist in the analysis and management of VL’s Adwords account and campaigns. They will collaborate with VL staff to analyze current and prepare future campaigns. Additionally, the MRAI will research other outreach opportunities through online platforms to market VL’s programs, projects and upcoming events. The MRAI will conduct grant research under the guidance of the Executive Director to support VL’s current programs and help develop future projects. Additionally, the MRAI will work with our Marketing Consultant to help create social media posting calendars and help with the development of our quarterly newsletter. The MRAI will also assist the Global Education Program Director with partnership management - VL partners with several Professors and their classes to help further support our ongoing projects, and the MRAI will help facilitate communication and assist during the editing process. Opportunities to work with our León staff will also occur throughout the internship as well.
