SPARC Works is a program dedicated to teaching adults with disabilities vocational skills. The program is approximately 2 years and covers both the soft and hard skills needed to hold a job. We are looking for volunteers to help us run the program and work with students on developing and strengthening job skills. This program runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-1. In July of 2017 we will also be adding a class in Springfield on Tuesday- Thursday from 10-1.

We are currently looking for interns to work at SPARC Works. Please contact us if you are intrested.

Mission Statement

To provide dynamic, enduring learning opportunities for adults with life-long disAbilities in a natural community setting.

Description

SPARC Solutions empowers adults with disAbilities to live as engaged citizens by giving back to their community through service projects, acquiring new vocational skills through entrepreneurial projects, and practicing life skills through leisure-learning guided lessons. SPARC enriches the lives of these young adults by enabling them to pursue hobbies and pastimes they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. We provide a natural setting and supports that allow participants to learn and engage in sports, cooking, photography, art and music, use computers, participate in book clubs, enjoy the outdoors and build strong, meaningful friendships. Though our community centers are relatively small, they offer our club members a world of opportunity
